The VERiTAS is the new yoyo by iYoYo. This yoyo really is something different.
The shape of this yoyo is everything but common, the shape is a variation of a wide V shape and a modified H.
The yoyo plays like nothing out there but for how weird it looks it does play amazing. The inner cup is also great for finger spins.

The Veritas is an interesting throw. It feels small in the hand, but at around 70 grams it feels deceptively heavy. It also sports a sharp C-Shape with almost spherical cups. There is a fair bit of weight in the center of mass that makes it feel solid on the string, but doesn’t sacrifice too much power because of it. The cup shape makes fingerspins difficult to lock in, but once they’re in they will go for days. I can honestly say there isn’t another yoyo like it in my collection, and for that fact alone I’ll likely never get rid of it.
It’s an interesting throw on it’s own, but part of it’s appeal is in the back story. The YoYo was designed by a 14 year old student in Germany as part of a regional science contest. She won the contest with her design and iYoYo noticed how much work she put into it, so they decided to produce it for her! They also donated some of the profits from the run to the her school’s science contest. It’s a fun throw, and the aspect of community support makes it easy to impulse buy without the guilt.
